Winter 2008 Welcome to the Cancer Zine, a quarterly online publication dedicated to keeping you informed on all phases of cancer research, treatments and therapies. Just as we did in our Summer and Fall issus, we're going to publish articles on all the cancer manifestations, including mesothelioma, breast, prostate, lung, stomach, skin, colon, ovarian, cervical, kidney, liver, pancreatic, leukemic -- to name just a few. We're going to investigate ongoing research and alternative medicine. We're going to look at the state of the art in both conventional and alternative treatments and dare to ask the question, is there a "cure" for cancer, or can there ever be? This issue we are featuring articles on skin cancer -- Almost everytime I'm outdoors, I see babies or small children in their strollers with their faces and heads unprotected from the sun. And while I do notice more small children than ever with hats on their heads, there seem to be triple that amount without.
